Description: 

This piece depicts the removal a large, benign parotid gland tumor. The surgery was observed and sketched in the operating room, then final sketches were created after consultation with the surgeon. Color studies were done to explore color choices. Final sketches were colorized and painted in Adobe Photoshop.
