Description:

This painting demonstrates the pathology of diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis on cervical vertebrae. It depicts how osteophytes on the anterior cervical vertebrae may impinge on the recurrent laryngeal nerve, causing hoarseness.  Created and used for a research presentation at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
